Based on the 3rd Generation circuit design of AEA’s celebrated RPQ3, the RPQ503 brings the same rich and natural sound to the 500 Series Format. Featuring a powerful combination of ultra-low noise, low-distortion op-amps, ultra-high 68K\u03a9 input impedance, and 85dB of clean gain, the RPQ503 delivers exceptional clarity and detail. More than just a preamp, the RPQ503 also includes the expanded EQ section of the RPQ3, with boost and cut controls for both low and high end, on custom, compact, dual-concentric potentiometers.<\/p>\n

The unit is powered by an external switching power supply to keep switching noise away from the unit.<\/p>\n The acrylic sideplate of the unit comes in either clear or fluorescent orange. The chassis is made of steel and the bottom of the Snaqbox\u2122 is affixed with durable rubber bumpers. All XLRs on the Snaqbox\u2122 are Neutrik brand. Five \u00bc\u201d flathead 4-40 screws are included with every unit.<\/p>\n The Snaqbox\u2122 features a LINK\/CASCADE switch. When engaged, the audio output of Channel 1 is internally routed to the input of Channel 2.
